Denver Spine Surgeons is a group practice composed of three board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeons. Dr. David Wong, Dr. Sanjay Jatana and Dr. Gary Ghiselli have practiced together in Denver as colleagues for about 10 years. They have a large referral base of back and neck pain patients from across the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains; Colorado Springs; Summit County, Colorado; as well as from adjacent states of New Mexico, Nebraska, Wyoming and Kansas. Their philosophy emphasizes exhausting non-surgical treatment options before considering spine surgery. When surgery is necessary, they utilize the latest technological advances in minimally invasive spine surgery and regenerative technologies to accelerate functional rehabilitation and minimize hospital stay.

Artificial Disc Replacement

Unlike spinal fusion which locks vertebrae in place, artificial disc replacement enables the surgeon to restore movement to the spine by replacing a damaged disc with an implant that retains the ability to rotate. This can prevent other complications related to a fusion surgery.

Conservative Treatment Algorithm

The spine physicians at Denver Spine Surgeons share the same philosophy in that they emphasize nonsurgical treatment options in advance of spine surgery. Non-surgical treatment options are now provided through pain management specialists and spine therapists.
